The Five blocks in this runner may look very difficult, but I promise you'll love working with fabric strips and a 90 degree quarter square triangle ruler.  Sewing four of the cut triangle pieces creates an 8.5" block.  Just by using different fabrics in your st rip will give your runner a unique look.  The finished size is approximately 48"x16".  You can shorten or lengthen this runner by making fewer or more blocks and adjusting the borders and binding.
